About the stories
I love the intrigue and science of Rollins (he writes dog viewpoint, too!); the depth of Deaver, the character-driven plots of King, and the WOW-factor of Koontz (another great dog writer).
I love James Patterson's pace, JT Ellison's normal-turned-scary, and so many others I continue to discover.
I'm relatively new to the fiction-ing world, but many established authors are incredibly welcoming and supportive. Some have generously given my books their paw-stamp of approval.
My first career as a vet tech and animal behavior expert colors my fiction, and I strive to provide accurate realistic information with plots often ripped-from-the-headlines. But in my stories, the PETS NEVER EVER DIE!
I also challenge myself to write stories that Grandma can share with youthful readers--so no graphic s*x or egregious language. They are thrillers, though, so mayhem and murder abound.
